Colorado River Ostomy Chapter (CROC) formed in 2007 is the only United Ostomy Association of America affiliated chapter in Mohave County and the Tristate area of Arizona, California and Nevada. We have members from Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, winter visitors from various places attend our meetings. The members who have ostomies (ostomates) have had their stomas from 10 years to less than a year.
Ostomates, persons with content diversions, those contemplating surgery that may require an ostomy and their support persons are welcome to attend the meetings. Medical professionals who have an interest in ostomy care are also welcome to attend.
CROC has a connection with ostomy care certified RN who is able to attend the several of the group meetings. The meetings topics vary at each meeting and can include an educational bit about ostomy life, guest speakers from the community, product representatives, new product demo, favorite product display, and group discussion time.
